We went thru our portal Migration last weekend. This weekend was putting out the fires that always happens after stuff like that. I'm glad for the weekend now. 2 days of quiet. I can deal with that. I've got 2 big bottles of Sammy Smith's Oatmeal Stout in the fridge calling my name...

I finally put up my first free script for download. Nothing too amazing, though. It's a php script that automatically generates a gallery with any pictures that are in the same directory. all it requires is php to be running on the webserver. Tested on Apache 1.3x, 2.x, and IIS5, 6.0, all with PHP 4.3 and PHP 5.x.

I'm resoldering the ribbon controller on my Moog and cleaning out the pots. I'm probably going to retune the oscillator also. But once I had it apart, I kind of winced. Such a beautiful instrument in such a naked and ugly state.

Freaking amazing. I got up there a few hours early and managed to meet (and get my picture with) H. I was also able to bring my camera in and I snapped about 40 pictures or so. my digicam doesn't do the best in the dark, so hopefully at least a few of them came out.

The show was absolutely jaw dropping. Definitely the best show I've ever been to in my entire life. They played the whole single disc version of Marbles for the first set. It was absolutely perfect sounding.

2nd set was other material from Season's End to Anorak. They ended their 2nd encore and went off stage. The house lights came back on and the house music started playing. The crowd kept cheering and eventually after about 5-6 minutes they came back out to play easter. Whether that was planned or not, I'm not sure, but it was a great effect.

All in all. Absolutely amazing. Part of me wishes I was going to Ohio for their next shows. This is their first time touring the US in almost 8 years, so it was VERY special. Chicago also sold out, which helped make the entire evening magical. All the fans I met were great.

I'm going to post pictures as soon as I get back in town (I'm getting out of town for a couple days in Madison, WI).

My short summary? Bushy got his ass handed to him on a plate.
I'll leave it at that.

Saturday 10-2, I'm heading up to chicago to see Marillion on their first US tour in more than 7 years. Depending on how it goes, I'm hoping to have pictures and junk to post. stay tuned!!

well, I'm getting there. I got the display section of the gallery taken care of, and all of the backend. I'm too tired and I have to get up early for work tomorrow. I just have to get the upload forms taken care of. That'll be done tomorrow nite hopefully.

I had a wonderful day today. Went out for a nice walk, played my drumkit (well practice kit, I'm in an apartment), and spent a quiet evening building the comments section of this website. Lemme know if anyone runs into problems
